Open enrollment will begin on November 1st, or the first business day after November 1st, of each year. Currently enrolled children will have priority.
Refunds
Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. Tuition is NON-REFUNDABLE.
If a family withdraws their child for any reason after tuition payments are made, SBDS will refund pro-rated tuition (not deposits) if SBDS is able to fill that child’s spot. If SBDS is not able to fill that child’s spot prior to the start of the academic year, tuition will not be refunded. There will be no refunds of deposits, advance tuition installments, or tuition due to absence, withdrawal or failure to continue in Sound Beach Day School, except under the limited circumstances described below.
Sound Beach Day School may issue a refund, in whole or in part, if a child withdraws from the School due to the School’s inability to provide special services to said child. To qualify for a refund, the child’s special needs and/or necessary services must be identified and documented by a professional and provided to the School to enable the School to determine whether, and the extent to which, such needs may be met and/or such services provided. If the School determines that it is unable to provide the services identified as necessary by a professional, upon written request for a refund, the School will issue a refund less any amounts due for the period of time in which the child was enrolled.
Any request for a refund must be made in writing and submitted to the Director of the School within thirty (30) days of the child’s withdrawal from the School. All appeals for refunds are subject to review.
Withdrawal
Withdrawal for any reason must be made in writing and submitted to the Director of the School. Withdrawal should be made a soon as possible, and no later than two (2) weeks before anticipated date of withdrawal. The deposit or payments made or any installment due and paid at the time of withdrawal will not be refunded, except as specifically stated above.
Discounts
Tuition discounts will apply for families that have more than one child enrolled in the School. Full tuition will be paid for the child enrolled in the program with the highest tuition. A 10% discount will apply for each child thereafter enrolled in a program of equal or lesser value.
Payments
Payments can be made by check or credit card. A credit card number or voided check must be on file so that payments can be applied. By your signature below, you hereby authorize Sound Beach Day School to automatically debit your checking account or charge your credit card in the amount of the installment amount due and owing, if same is not paid within 10 days of the due date (i.e. if the installment is not paid on or before the 10th). This authorization shall be valid unless and until specifically withdrawn in a writing to the Director.
Families are encouraged to speak with the Director if they find themselves unable to keep current with their payment schedule so that a financial agreement can be worked out.
Consent
I have read and reviewed the Sound Beach Day School Enrollment Policy, understand its terms and agree to be bound by such terms.
According to program selected, a deposit is required toward tuition, together with a completed registration application form and a registration fee of $25.00 to hold your position.
No refunds will be issued for registration fee, deposit or tuition.
