Early Stage Self Expression…

The two’s development encompasses important milestones. Our teachers assist and guide these little ones in their social emotional development. Children are encouraged to verbalize their wants and needs, by building vocabulary and basic communication.

Motor Skills Development…

By exploring through play, children improve their fine and gross motor skills. A child’s self-expression is developed through art and music. As a strong bond begins to form between child and teacher, self-help skills and independence are encouraged. These are all appropriate learning goals for this age group.

Easing into Independence…

This may be the first time a child is separated from their parent and in a school setting. Our staff is understanding of developmental separation concerns, for this reason we start our two’s program with what we call a “soft opening”. Classes are broken into two groups no more then four children at a time with two to three staff members. Students stay for one hour and twenty minutes for the first week.

Confidence & Socialization…

Parents and caregivers are welcome to stay. As children become more comfortable and can stay longer, we extend the time. This is a slow process and determined on an individual basis. Teachers and parents work together to make sure the child is comfortable and feels secure within the program.
